About Reverend Fletcher
Reverend Darrion K. Fletcher arrived in the Vine City community over 14 years ago. He worked alongside his father, a community advocate, who worked extensively with the West-End E.O.A. They addressed different issues facing senior citizens, youth and the community. Those experiences raised his level of conscientiousness and compassion for the diverse members of the community. Observing his father's dedication to community at large, inspired him to start a missionary service organization. God prepared him for the tedious journey.

Rev. Fletcher helped impede drug sales in Vine City, helped open a women shelter, feed the hungry, clothed those that were in need and assisted those who needed shelter. He urged community leaders to protect the communities they represent. He helped young men and women with juvenile problems and assisted small churches that were in need of repairs. These commitments to service led him to establish a community resource and recreation center "Walking Through the Vine." This organization is supported by donations and personal funds. Walking Through the Vine Ministry is an organization that serves the communities of Vine City and English Avenue in the Urban Atlanta area. Rev. Fletcher received a Proclamation from Mayor Kasim Reed for this organization.
Together with his wife Jackie; a strong, supporting and loving partner, and family members and dedicated volunteers, we are here to serve and transform the minds and souls of God's people. We aim to instill strong moral values and principles in our children. Our mission is to provide opportunities for children to learn whether from books or life experiences. We know that by transforming the minds of our youth beyond their circumstances and situations we will cause them to become responsible and respectful citizens. We teach that God is our mentor and will lead us to these goals.
